Be the future of patient safety.

Join us as we unite patient safety leaders across Ireland to discuss how we can enhance patient safety in healthcare across the region together.

The Ireland Patient Safety Leaders Summit 2026 unites patient safety leaders from across the country to explore the evolving landscape of patient safety — highlighting the transformative potential of innovative technologies, the growing role of artificial intelligence, and sharing real-life examples of the successes achieved through implementing these digital solutions.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the concept of triangulation and its significance in promoting transparency, facilitating learning, and enabling comprehensive oversight. Attendees will also discover how AI-driven tools and innovative technologies are reshaping patient safety — from smarter incident analysis to predictive risk identification — and how fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement can help organisations achieve better patient safety outcomes.

Additionally, attendees will hear from peers in the healthcare space on their own initiatives and real-world experiences migrating to Ideagen Healthcare Guardian, and how it has benefited their learning and improvement work surrounding patient safety.

The event will provide attendees with an insight into the upcoming technologies and methodologies shaping the future of patient safety — including the practical application of AI — and how these can be applied to their local setting.

Hosts:

Alistair Brown

Senior Business Development, Ideagen Healthcare Guardian

Alistair has spent the last five years working closely with NHS trusts and private healthcare organisations across the UK and Ireland, helping them transform their approach to patient safety, quality, and governance. With hands-on experience guiding organisations through evaluation, implementation, and adoption of Healthcare Guardian, he brings practical sector knowledge and a genuine understanding of the challenges clinical and operational teams face.

Aden Maine

Head of Marketing Healthcare, Ideagen

Aden brings 15 years of marketing experience to healthcare, with the last decade spent working directly alongside InPhase — now Ideagen Healthcare Guardian. As Head of Marketing for healthcare across the EMEA region, he combines deep product knowledge with a strategic understanding of how NHS, independent, and international healthcare providers adopt and leverage patient safety technology to drive real improvement.

Dino Grigoropoulos-Lilley

New Business Sales Manager, Ideagen

Dino brings a distinctive background to healthcare technology — from a career in science education and frontline COVID-19 laboratory testing through to sales. That clinical grounding gives him a genuine understanding of the environments and pressures healthcare organisations work within, and informs how he helps independent and care sector providers find the right solution for their patient safety and quality needs.

The Patient Safety Summit will cover these key areas:

  • Understand what the Patient Safety Act 2023 requires in practice — the seven-day HIQA notification obligation, Open Disclosure requirements, and what good governance infrastructure looks like
  • Explore how connecting incident management, audit programmes, risk registers, and patient feedback creates the governance picture that boards, HIQA, and the Mental Health Commission need to see
  • Hear real-life experiences from peers on their patient safety improvement journeys — specific, honest, and directly relevant to Irish healthcare
  • See how AI is reshaping what governance teams can do right now — what is live and demonstrable, not roadmap
  • Gain insight into the latest developments in patient safety methodology and how they apply to your own organisation
