URGENT UPDATE: NHS England has announced a change to the LFPSE migration deadline. Now, Trusts have the option of a six-month extension for testing, refinement and customisation of their new system. However, an LFPSE compliant system must still be in place by March 2023.

The deadline to move from NRLS to LFPSE is March 2023. By then, you’ll need to have a fully functioning LFPSE incident reporting system in place, meaning procurement, implementation, training, migration of historical data and deployment all must have taken place by this time.

Over on our LinkedIn, we asked our followers how much they knew about LFPSE and a shocking 43% said they had now idea! As well as this, 67% wanted to know more about what LFPSE is and 33% wanted to know how to pick the right LFPSE incident reporting system.

Here at InPhase, we understand the stresses that come with a system move, especially with one as important as incident reporting. That’s why we’re hosting a tell-all webinar on November 10th 2022 at 11 am that will take you through everything you need to know and do before the deadline hits.

The question is…

The move to LFPSE (Learn from Patient Safety Events) is designed to enhance learning and improvement with a specific focus on incidents. It improves on the previous NRLS reporting by giving users quick, easy and uninhibited access to data, flagging trends and inspiring improvements to processes.

This move and its quickening closeness naturally comes with a lot of questions, mainly:

  • What features should our new LFPSE system have?
  • Can you bring all your historic data with you to run in one, single system?
  • How long will migration take?
  • How can you make the transition as successful as possible?
  • Does your current system choice have an effect on migration time?
  • What do you need to do next to make the change?
  • Has anyone done this super quickly and successfully?

To ease any worries and to answer any questions you may have, our webinar on the subject might be just what you need.
