Better Than Ever – InPhase21

We’re delighted with the feedback on InPhase21 - the biggest, best and most innovative update to our software in a decade!
As with all ground-breaking software changes, it came with its own set of unique product development challenges - especially during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic – but with a host of great new features, capabilities, and benefits, feedback from customers and implementation teams prove it was well worth the investment…
Saving Precious Time
Another of InPhase21’s benefits comes as a direct result of its improved presentation features. By making it easier than ever to combine multiple types of information in real-time for front-line dashboards in improved visualisations, InPhase21 Apps are easier for users to engage with for key information, giving them a better understanding of what’s going on and a better situational awareness that changes with changing priorities and delivers better results for individual patients, wards, and the entire Trust.
Many of our customers are under increased pressure due to COVID-19, but our healthcare customers are probably the most affected. The NHS is under immense pressure to reduce the record-breaking backlog of patients awaiting treatments. Unfortunately, available staff hours have been seriously reduced - both by Brexit and by the increased workload caused by the pandemic - creating sickness and absence. That backlog workload is set to increase even further over the coming autumn and winter thanks to normal seasonal illnesses. Reducing the time that nurses and other clinical staff need to commit to in order to complete administration and management tasks recovers precious time that can be spent on patient care.
That’s one of the benefits being delivered by InPhase21, which is delivering better, easier page design and an improved user experience that’s now fully responsive to different devices and screen sizes by default, with an all-new range of page designs that make it easier for users to save precious time.
From streamlining workflow and reducing the number of clicks required to get things done to providing more intuitive interfaces for quality, safety, audit, action management and reporting, every aspect of InPhase21 has been designed from the ground up to reduce form-filling and admin time by 1-2 hours for each user per week. When that time saving is extended to a hundred clinical staff, that means InPhase 21 can give a Trust 100-200 hours of clinical time back each week - the equivalent of 2- 4 additional nursing staff. Indeed, some of our customers are using InPhase to support many hundreds of clinical staff, multiplying the time-saving benefits even more.
Better Engagement - Better Results
Another of InPhase21’s benefits comes as a direct result of its improved presentation features. By making it easier than ever to combine multiple types of information in real-time for front-line dashboards in improved visualisations, InPhase21 Apps are easier for users to engage with for key information, giving them a better understanding of what’s going on and a better situational awareness that changes with changing priorities and delivers better results for individual patients, wards, and the entire Trust.
These changes have been made possible by the complete re-engineering of InPhase Designer that makes it easier to use and faster to build, as well as giving better control and new capabilities. Implementations have proven that it’s now quicker and easier to improve page flows and user interactions, and to use more intuitive styles and new types of presentations for many types of information and content.
All-New Pre-Built Apps
Another benefit of the new and improved InPhase Designer is the increase in the number of pre-built Apps that our dedicated team have been able to produce and update. This has resulted in a flurry of innovative and useful new Apps, including:
- BAF (Board Assurance Framework)
- PAM (Premise Assurance Model)
- FoIA (Freedom of Information)
- Incident App for LFPSE (Learning from Patient Safety Event)
And updated Apps
- Objectives Planning and Performance
- Risk Management
- Project and Portfolio
- National Audit and Local Audit
- Infection Protection and Control
- CQC Assessment
- NICE Guidance
- CAS
Collaboration has been made easier than ever with our Microsoft Teams integration into the collaboration options, making it possible to get more people engaged and involved in rapid decision-making and key actions when it matters, even despite the increasingly distributed nature of the workforce and the rise of home working
But even with all the great new capabilities and features offered by the update, our customers will be glad to know that we hadn’t forgotten about the custom developments they’ve made on previous versions of the platform. Indeed, the whole team here at InPhase had worked incredibly hard to ensure that they all continued to work seamlessly, gaining many of the benefits of cross-device responsiveness and browser support – all without having to change a thing. Every custom development continued to work seamlessly!
The new APIs added to InPhase21 have enabled it to extend its ability to draw together information from the widest range of data sources, including operational systems, staff HR, finance, incident, audit and survey, as well as from local developed systems including Excel, Access, SQL Server, Oracle and even modern cloud Apps and RESTful systems.
It’s exciting and rewarding to see that the latest, greatest refresh of our ground-breaking technology delivering so many immediate and significant benefits to new and existing customers alike.
