InPhase experts Andrew Bingham and John Boland were delighted to attend the official launch of Oversight at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, 2nd May 2023.
As one of Europe’s biggest and busiest children’s hospitals, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital provides innovative, high-quality care for over 330,000 children, young people and their families every year. They treat everything from common illnesses to highly complex and specialist conditions as well as being the home of ground-breaking and cutting-edge research.
The Trust also offers paediatric services at several community sites and holds local clinics across Merseyside, Cumbria, Shropshire, Wales and the Isle of Man. Alder Hey also provides specialist inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at their Alder Park Building in North Liverpool.
Implementing a new system across a sizable organisation that has a multitude of services, departments, specialities and teams that need to be catered for is no small feat. Alder Hey decided that they would procure several Apps which would allow them to link up working across the multi-location organisation to facilitate the incredible work of their teams further already.
Alder Hey decided to go “big bang” with Incidents across the organisation, and InPhase offered to attend, supporting a stand within the main hospital atrium, which meant that any member of staff could ask questions and provide feedback and comments, which could then be fed back to the organisation’s Project Team.
The InPhase Team worked closely with colleagues from Alder Hey during the day, who spent the day meeting with department staff and heads of teams to spread the word about InPhase, passing back any feedback that had been provided.
Our stand was located close to the PAL’s Team, and so had conversations during the day on things which had been discovered when using the system. The main questions were about Trust security permissions and different specific things that InPhase can do.
Overall, the wonderful staff at Alder Hey fed back how easy Oversight from InPhase was to use in comparison to the previous system as well as things that made form filling so much simpler, like useful hints and tips under Question Mark icons and the layout of the form itself.
On leaving the hospital, the Project Team advised that they felt having InPhase representation helped the Go Live – showing the Trust teams that they were engaged with them as a customer and appreciated the comments being provided.
