The game-changing uptake of InPhase within the NHS for digital assurance systems continues at a rapid pace, reaching its 50th NHS Trust. This is strong evidence that NHS trusts are actioning NHS England's and indeed the government’s, drive to give our doctors and nurses millions of hours back to spend with patients.

InPhase’s drive to deliver significant efficiencies in clinical and non-clinical health professional time has clearly resonated with Trusts. Simplifying admin for patient safety, patient experience and care quality InPhase has established an in-depth set of modular apps available individually or as a single triangulated system.

With each app being designed to be superior to alternatives, Trusts often look at InPhase to update a specific single application area at first.

However, either during the initial procurement or shortly after, the cost savings in clinical, nursing and administration time and money that InPhase brings have meant that most Trusts have procured multiple integrated apps.

This is largely because InPhase eliminates the classic silos between separate software products within NHS Trusts in four related areas:

  • risk and incidents, complaints, claims, investigations.
  • care quality for CQC, NICE, policy, CAS.
  • audits both clinical and non-clinical and surveys.
  • actions, plans, performance and projects.

Each app delivers time savings in its own right. Additional time savings by having real-time triangulation of data from any of the Apps eliminating reporting collation processes as well releases on average 10,000 hours of time back to the Trust.

Last year the new Mortality app was much applauded as a small but really beneficial option and a major step forward in what was previously available.

The most purchased app is the patient safety Incident app. This app provides major time savings with its high-speed forms interface and rapid administration combined with high-quality dashboards and flexible reporting. NHS England reported last month that roughly 20% of all NHS Trusts submitting patient safety incidents to NHS England LFPSE are now doing so using InPhase.

So far this year the most popular new apps being added to systems are the 2024 Single Assessment CQC app, the Freedom to Speak Up app and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) app.
